LOL I CLEARLY SUCCESSFULLY LOWERED ALL MY EXPECTATIONS TO ROCKBOTTOM LEVELS BECAUSE I SORT OF ENJOYED ALL THAT. I MEAN I'M DISAPPOINTED ABOUT SO SO MANY THINGS, BUT I CAN LIVE WITH THEM SINCE I PREPARED FOR WORSE.
WELL I GUESS I'LL BE THE LONE MEMER WHO ISN'T DISAPPOINTED. IT WASN'T WHAT I WANTED BUT I HAD ROCK BOTTOM EXPECTATIONS AND THEY EXCEEDED THEM AND I ENJOYED WATCHING IT PLAY OUT ON SCREEN MUCH MORE THAN I THOUGHT I WOULD.
I'M SAD ABOUT THE LACK OF PRIVATE SCENES BEFOAR THE WEDDING WITH THE BRIDES AND/OR GROOMS. I WANTED TO SEE SOMETHING WITH BURT/KURT(/CAROLE), AND IT WOULD'VE BEEN A NICE WAY TO REMIND PEOPLE THAT BLAINE'S MOM IS THERE.
I'M GOING TO GUESS THIS WAS THE LAST EPISODE WITH ANYTHING SUBSTANTIAL FOR JENNA, JUST LIKE IT IS FOR NAYA AND HEATHER. EXCEPT FOR MAYBE A FLASH FORWARD TO LOL ARTIE/TINA.
LOOK, INO GLEE BLOWS EVERY HOBVIOUS OPPORTUNITY THEY HAVE. BUT, LIKE, THE KURT/BLAINE PROPOSAL STILL MANAGED TO BE RLY MOVING TO ME IN SPITE OF THE HIGH EXPECTATIONS AND POOR SET-UP. WHAT HAPPENED?
Behind the scenes, the tone was lighter. O’Malley joked about “his big gay son” during rehearsal, teasing Chris Colfer’s Kurt that “Your mom would be so happy if she weren’t dead,” with the kind of practiced ease the comes with playing family for six years. When it came time to run the actual vows, the first few times through the actors couldn’t keep it together. It’s wordy. When they got to the parts that reference Shel Silverstein’s “The Missing Piece,” it required Colfer to stare into Darren Criss’ eyes and say “Roll away with me, Blaine” with a straight face. Criss immediately bowed at the middle in laughter, and Colfer bemoaned, “there’s no other way for me to say it, sorry.” Eventually, they made it through.
LOL THE @GLEEonFOX TWITTER SEEMS TO BE RLY DOWN IN THE DREGS WITH THE GLODKA. WITH THIS BEING A HEAVILY HYPED WEDDING EPISODE, A REUNION, AND ALL OF THE STUFF ALL OVER THE PLACE WITH FILMING ENDING I THOUGHT ENGAGEMENT WOULD BE HIGHER THAN USUAL. VERY CURIOUS ABOUT THE RATINGS.
MEME I WANT FIC WHERE KURT SITS BLAINE DOWN AND SAYS SOMETHING LIKE "LISTEN HUSBAND I SAW YOUR MOTHER DANCING WITH PUCK" AND THEY HAVE AN INTERVENTION.
LOL THE LEAST BELIEVABLE PART OF THE EPISODE FOR ME WAS THAT KURT LET BLAINE OUT OF A THREE FOOT RADIUS AFTER THEY GOT BACK TOGETHER TO HAVE THAT SCENE WITH TINA.
IDK WRY KURT WASN'T THERE FOR THAT SCENE. LOL I GUESS THE ANSWER IS THAT KURT ISN'T "ONE OF THE GUYS" AS ALWAYS, BUT IT WOULD'VE MADE SENSE. THEY COULD'VE SNUCK GLANCES AT EACH OTHER AND IT COULD'VE HALPED SET-UP THE IDEA OF THEM GETTING MARRIED.
IT WEIRDED ME OUT THAT THEY DIDN'T MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT SANTANA AND BRITTANY'S CAREERS, BUT LOL IN RETROSPECT I'M NOT SURE WRY I EVER EXPECTED IT. I THINK I WAS THROWN OFF BY BRITTANY SEEMING TO DISLIKE THE IDEA OF THEM GOING TO LOL YORK IN 603.
